I started writing because I kept re-explaining the same concepts to colleagues and friends. Eventually I figured I should just write them down properly — with the context and depth I wished existed when I was learning.

My essays are focused on first principles: not just “here's how to do X” but “here's why X works this way, what trade-offs were made, and when you should actually use it.”
